useless studies

some statistical studies are just simply useless...

"Chinese make up the largest number of Malaysians who have renounced their citizenship, followed by Malays and Indians, Parliament was told yesterday. The Home Ministry's parliamentary secretary Abdul Rahman Ibrahim said 16474 Malaysians gave up their citizenship betwen 2000 and 2006. Of these, 87 per cent or 14316 people where Chinese, 1098 were Malays (6.6 per cent) and 822 were Indians (5 per cent). The remainder comprised other races.....As to why they had opted to leave for other countries, he replied:"The main reason is the (quality of life) in those countries. They also consider the working environment, such as better opportunities and better pay. And some consider education for their children as a reason to apply for citizenship in a particular country." he was quoted as saying by the online news portal Malaysiakini." - Straits Time 22/11/2007

1) you don't need a parliamentary secretary to tell you that the largest number to migrate are the Chinese. it's so obvious that even a 3 year old child can tell you that.

2) the reasons quoted is just about everything there is under the sun which matters to every citizen.

when i came to singapore at the age of 7, i already knew that the quality of life i will have in singapore is better than in malaysia, i will have better working environment when i grow up, i will receive better education in singapore than in malaysia (what do you expect? malay as first language? DUH!!!), i will have better opportunities to enter universities etc. i knew that when i was 7 years old! the information given by the parliament secretary is nothing but just another useless piece of information. yet another case of overpaid, useless civil servant in malaysia. MALAYSIA BOLEH!

maybe daniel loh was like this...

daniel loh may wish to share his experiences... :)

hilarious moment...

telkomsel and indosat

it has proven once again why certain nations can never prosper even with the vast amount of resources they have. it all boils down to bad management of resources, unsound planning and deep into the organisation - wrong people in the wrong office. lots of corruptions make things worst. to quote someone - often their decisions "defies logic"!

the future is here? hmm... what future? with foreign investors losing confidence?

two events stirred my heart recently - Pedra Branca and the above issue.

the two countries involved are unique in this region - lots of corruptions, lies, unsound government, even the top managements are dishonest in many ways (better don't be too obvious else i may be arrested and put on ISA!!!)

it's christmas again...

another year has passed by... so fast... what did i do for last christmas? hmm... mother was pressurising me to put up the deco for christmas. so early for what??? might as well put up chinese new year deco right?! but then, old people are like that. nag nag nag... :) but then, being a good son (since i still need to depend on her to wash my clothes, prepare my breakfast and cook my dinner), i had to obey her.
last year's theme was green and red - the traditional christmas colour. but decided to give it a makeover this year. blue and white takes the center theme this year.

but where's the christmas tree? eh... house too small to even accomodate the dumb trunk, instead had a center piece on the dining table.

a bl*%$y japanese birthday party... i had to pay for him!!!

attended louis' birthday 'party' at california pizza... his birthday but had to treat him. one for one pizza offer but the waiter/waitress wanted to make life difficult for us. luckily, i had the cheek to make life even more difficult for them!

as each table only allows the use of one voucher, we had to split up and occupy 4 different tables. in the end, david a.k.a gep-er had to sit all by himself... such a poor thing... but he was the one who was still hungry after eating 2 pizzas! in the end, i had to sign the credit card 4 times, as the bill came separately. such a stupid restaurant but the food's good and relatively cheap too, so shouldn't complain too much.
